/Out of (Urban) Order er mit speciale. Det tager udgangspunkt i et spørgsmål til hvad ansvarlig byplanlægning skal være. For at svare, tror jeg på at give magten til aktørerne som er en del af det urbane væv. Gennem en udviklingsplan og et åbningstræk, undersøger jeg hvordan man kan forholde sig til nationale problematikker til en lokal kontekst. Dette gøres gennem en oversættelse af overordnet strategier til fysisk form og dermed blive bevist om hvordan man bevarer de stedsbundende kvaliteter mens man udvikler. Processen tager afsæt i samtidens dilemma om hvordan man transformerer Refshaleøen.
Strategies
Through a multi scaled approach, with the help of morphology, phenomenology and ethnography, key findings is narrowed down to three essential agents of Refshaleøen: Nature, Cultural environment and Community. With observations made, this fostered six strategies of either organisational and physical character.

Showcasing how the strategies have been implemented in a 1:10.000 scale, highlights the 2024 plan with appointed potential building plots as well as allocated prototyping plots. A strong drive for the thesis have been to not plan everything from the beginning, but instead leave space for experimenting, innovation and nature to grow. In doing so, strengthening the core of Refshaleøen before rushing to full development. The green spine speaks volumes of providing better condition for biodiversity to flourish.
Opening move
In regard to securing the vital parts of this thesis as well as exploring the physical shaping of the strategies, I have designed the opening move through possibility study. By translating the learned findings into a physical development and sketching on its maturing, the overall strategies' legacy is secured in human scale as well as in future work.
