/ Vejle Bibliotek bliver til et kulturel epicenter i 'Byværkstedet', når tematikker som transformation, social bæredygtighed samt at arbejde i spændingsfeltet mellem ude og inde bliver sat i fokus for den store, hybride bygning.
A dialogue between old and new
The existing building, Vejle Bibliotek, has outgrown its' purpose as only library. With a large column/beams principle continuing through the building, it speaks of a functional and brutal aesthetic with clear lines, visible construction and tough materials. This potential was brought into the expansion of the existing structure creating an output that invites all to join and experience architecture whilst exploring the world of learning through both practice and reading.
